Blog, Facebook, Twitter…what’s the best way to communicate with your local clientele? This was the discussion at the Social Media Breakfast Waterloo Region last Thursday.
With a panel of great speakers, all business owners from the Waterloo Region, they described how Social Media plays a big part in there daily business routine. One “heated” question that did come up was “which is the best?” With non-Facebook users claiming a huge part of their success to Twitter, and another part of the panel giving praises to Facebook, it was clear each person had their favorite. In the end all agreed that making real connections was the way to prevailing in the sea of Tweets, Blogs and Facebookers.
But before you go head first into the sea of Social Media make sure you take a few moments to consider your message as a personal brand, or corporate brand because what you put out there is the first step in making the right impression. If a future client doesn’t like what they see online, they might just pass by, instead of passing it on.
